Dear Reader,
The African Journal of Science Technology and Social Sciences (AJSTSS) is proud to present its Second issue in Volume one of full paper publications. It is heartening to see the strides made over the last few months through production of this issue. Yet, as our authors will note, there is much more work to do to achieve our promise. The pieces in this issue address the quality of research being undertaken by the authors.
Our Journal AJSTSS is the epitome of the essence of how science and technology contributes to society in the creation of new knowledge, and then utilization of that knowledge to boost the prosperity of human lives, and to solve the various issues facing society. The journal and the articles therein appreciates the scope and importance of all disciplines in development of humanity.
Production of this issue involved the talent and effort of many people. We are so appreciative of all the behind-the-scenes work that has been done to help us publish this issue. This project could not have been possible without the support of approximately fifty of the Journal’s members, who all volunteered additional time outside of their regular Journal duties to produce this issue. A very special thanks to those who served as Executive Editors, Executive Articles Editors, and Articles Editors.
Our commitment to subscribe to international best practices is clearly manifested in this publication. In this issue, DOI is issued to all articles, we already have ISBN and we will strive to maintain high editorial standards to assure we meet the indexing standards of various international bodies. I sign off by saying that this edition has been a wonderful reminder of the importance of research in influencing policy, and public discourse. I hope you enjoy this publication, as well as the important critiques of the scholarly landscape following in the wake of its release.
