Publishing Policies

  1. The publication shall be referred to as the African Journal of Science, Technology and Social Sciences (AJSTSS)
  2. The frequency of publication shall be annual (one issue per year).  The journal shall also publish special proceedings of scientific conferences.
  3. Types of research papers: Original research papers, reviews and short communications
  4. Subject Areas of Publication: Science, Technology and Social Sciences:
    1. Agriculture and Food Science
    2. Business and Economics
    3. Computing, Informatics and Security
    4. Education
    5. Engineering and Technology
    6. Health Sciences
    7. Pure and Applied Sciences
    8. Social Sciences
  5. This Journal will use peer and double-blind review, with both the reviewer and author identities concealed.
  6. Papers to be published in AJSTSS must be the original work of the author/s that have not been published previously in any manner. 
  7. Author/s should not submit their article simultaneously to other Journals. 
  8. All responsibility for a manuscript is incumbent on the authors, with concurrence from other authors, clear who the corresponding author is.
  9. All submitted manuscripts will be subjected to a plagiarism check that will be done by AJSTSS. In a manuscript, sources should be cited. The similarity index report should not exceed 15%, with no more than 30% from a single source.
  10. Authors should not violate any existing local and international copyright laws. Authors retain the copyright of the published papers.
  11. AJSTSS is committed to open access for articles. All of the AJSTSS articles are free to access from the date of publication.
